“Perhaps stories serve, above all, a function of hope. The suspension of ordinary limitations helps people recover their optimism and nourish their imagination, giving them energy to reach their goals.”

Idries Shah, World Tales

Performances

My repertoire includes stories from oral traditions around the world; drawing on classical sources such as The Thousand and One Nights or Kalila and Dimna, as well as authors like Henri Gougaud, Idries Shah, the Brothers Grimm, and other collectors, ethnographers and folklorists from around the world. I also offer curated shows designed for specific contexts and audiences.

Adult audience

Duration: 50 minutes

The desert is vast, relentless, deep — an abyss of sand where we may encounter our darkest fears or our deepest longings. Voices of the Desert weaves together stories that cross deserts, both real and metaphorical. Words, like grains of sand, summon something of the aridness we face in our daily lives.

Children’s audience

Duration: 50 minutes

Deep in the forest, the threads of many stories intertwine. Birds —sometimes a character, sometimes a witness— sing and tell us of what they see and experience. A storytelling session woven with participatory songs and interactive games with the audience.

Adult audience

Duration: 50 minutes

A journey through stories that have travelled across worlds — carried by my voice and the rhythm of the bendir. An invitation to travel through familiar and distant landscapes, where the spoken word becomes a refuge where cultures, experiences, and traditions meet.

Workshops

I work with different materials and approaches depending on the age group, aiming to nurture listening, imagination, expressiveness, and communication.

Within words

In these workshops we explore a story in depth — approaching it through different artistic languages, playing with its metaphors, getting to know its characters, or inhabiting its spaces. The focus is on awakening creativity and opening room for collective reflection. It’s about discovering and playing with the many layers of meaning that stories hold. These workshops are ideal for social intervention projects and are recommended for educators, social workers, teachers, or anyone who works with groups.

The craft of storytelling

A workshop focused on learning how to tell stories. I share simple strategies to become familiar with storytelling language and discover one’s own voice as a narrator. We also explore different types of stories and reflect on how to build a personal repertoire.

Journey to the heart of the story

When we tell stories, we travel. Not only because we imagine the landscape of the story and walk through it, but because the very act of approaching a tale — getting to know it, dancing with it, lending it our words — is, in itself, a journey.

In this three-session workshop, we will explore ways of approaching, inhabiting, and getting to know stories through the traces they carry. We will travel through their landscapes, discover the cultures they come from, and listen to the echoes of the voices that have told them. A workshop on integrating the context of stories into the storyteller’s practice.

Listening to a story is a simple yet complex activity that engages the senses, stimulates imagination, and helps structure thought. Storytelling supports holistic learning and contributes to literacy development, critical thinking, and a love of literature. Through playful and creative activities, children have the chance to discover different ways of “reading” — approaching stories in a playful and creative way, and engaging with them through artistic expression and play.

Participants: 10–25

Duration: 1 or 2 hours

Methodology: Sessions draw on arts-education tools, using a range of artistic languages — music, poetry, movement, visual arts, and performance — to explore each story.

This work encourages young people’s expression and creativity, helping them find and strengthen their own voice in an environment often shaped by media and external pressures. The stories address themes that allow them to identify and give symbolic form to the challenges of growing up. Arts-education techniques support self-knowledge and the discovery of one’s own voice.
